Woof Woof Socks

Some things in Curtis's world are hilarious. Nanna and Taid bought him some lovely knitted socks at xmas with dogs faces stitched on the front - he finds this most amusing, having little dogs on his feet. He is rather fond of his 'woof woof socks' and made us laugh yesterday when we caught him trying to feed the socks bits of chicken and some grapes.

You make me feel like dancing...

Curtis's Den

Never sleeps in it anyway, Curtis's cot is made into his den kitted out with drum machine and some of his teddies for companyy. He just loves being in here and often insists on having both the musical mobiles and drum machine going at once....accompanied by, as you'll see in this video, his own ever widening repetoire of dance moves.

Just walking the dog...

**** Happy 1st Birthday Curtis ****

One year old today! Ahhhh....

His highchair was all set...

His best pal Cecil was kitted out in a party hat...

Even little Paul Macartney got in the party mood...

as was his dog waiting patiently outside his door, and his teddies ..
.

some cards were on display...

and everyone was ready to sing happy birthday...

All that was needed was the birthday boy!

8am came and went, as did, 9am and 10am, then on to 11am and now midday and still no sign of Curtis.

This is very unlike our little boy who never sleeps but he's totally wiped out with a cold and fever this week and hasn't been well enough to get up. Hopefully this super snooze will be the final leg of his journey to a full recovery and we can have belated celebrations next week. Steph has been off all week too, also hopefully now on the mend...so...watch this space for the belated appearance of our little one year old.

What a milestone and what a year!

Happy Birthday Curtis and many thanks to everyone who has sent cards, presents and birthday wishes x x x
In the end Curtis had a marathon sleep on his birthday, only waking at 1.30pm for about 2hrs which was good timing as it was just when our neighbours Nicola,Gregor and Anna (also nearly one) came to visit. He also stayed awake for another visitor when Anne from next door came in to wish him happy birthday, but then it was off to sleep again until daddy came home at 7pm. Just as well, as Steph having had flu all week has now developed a rather sore sinus infection and really needed some rest herself.

December catch up

Check out my big boy PJs...ahhhhh...

Over xmas I met my cousins Dylan and Josh. I really enjoyed hanging out with them, all the boys together.

I also met Liz, Victoria, Philip and James.

Watching the chooks with Nanna

I loved santas grotto at the garden centre.

Here I am with Nanna, Taid and Molly.

Happy, angry and surprised faces with Dylan and Taid.

Xmas Day - opening presents

Ooh that was a zesty lemon cheesecake!!

Santa (a.k.a Nanna and Taid) bought me this lovely dog for xmas....I love it....but have to do this puckered lips look when I concentrate on walking with it!

Having a little tea party in my bedroom....here I am forcing the puppy to eat some foood (not sure where I picked this up from mum???)

A day at McKees organic farm, watching the chooks and having lunch

Mum has just come in the door with some new lugggage....I like the look of this one...is it for me?

I seem to fit inside nicely....must be mine.

Here I am at Nanna adn Taids...discovering for the 1st time...STAIRS...and boy do I enjoy this.

Here I am chilling out over xmas in my PJs and sitting like a big boy in the little chair.

Having discovered the delights of rolling about on carpeted floors over xmas I'm now inclined to throw myself down onto the floor and roll over laughing at the site of any rug at home

Oooooooohhh...eck....I'm off the rug and onto the shiney wooden floor...he's going pretty fast now!!!!

My cousin Dylan teaches me the finer points of stair climbing...

It took Nanna and Taids dog Molly a little while to get used to me, though I was fascinated with her..

Nannas friend Catherine came to visit bringing me a lovely gift of a Bunnykins mug. Thank you Catherine x x

Nanna, mum and Dad and I went to Calderglen country park..this time I was old enough to realy enjoy lo0king at the animals..or at least those which were still around for the winter.

Early December catch up (1)

Spot the baby!
Over-stimulated? Too many toys? Whatever happened to Gareths minimalist decor!!?

Stomach bug :-(
All 3 of us got a horrid stomach bug in early December, poor Curtis hardly ate for about 5 days and lost a bit of weight and became very pale and weak. It was not pleasant to see but he bounced back eventually as babies do.

our skinny boy :-(

Having decided to make some xmas cards using an image of Curtis, despite his illness we needed to get a festive shot in time to send to the printer. We got one eventually but as you see he wasn't feeling very energetic or festive. Poor lamb had been sick just a wee while b4 we took these.

Visiting Molly
Gillian and Steph went up to Stirling to visit our pals Lynne, Andy and Molly in their new house. Congratulations on finding a fantastic family home guys. Curtis had a ball playing with Molly and says he wants to go back again soon.

Introducing Curtis's best pals.
Some time ago I put this little orange bear in the kitchen and began a game of asking Curtis to 'find Cecil'. Each night I'd put him in a different location and the next morning b4 breakfast Curtis would search excitedly about the kitchen until with a laugh and smile he would reveal that he'd found him. This game really stuck and not only do we play the same game every morning, but Cecil and Curtis have become very close...Curtis makes sure his pal is well fed and watered and more recently has been giving him enthusiastic cuddles and insisting that I cuddle him too. Cecil even had to come with us to Belfast for xmas and to Troon for the weekend in January.
A couple of weeks after introducing Cecil to Curtis I came home from work to find Gareth smiling to himself and asking me to watch Curtis as he asked him to find Paul Macartney!
So, we now have 2 little pals who must go everywhere with us and share Curtis's meals. Here, Cecil and Paul Macartney have toast for breakfast

Having a ball when mum and dad decide to take his bath into the front room one bath-time!
